Walks Programme September -
Our Group encourages car sharing, and walkers often meet at specified car parks. Drivers usually appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers. As a guide, 8p per mile per passenger is considered an amount which reasonably covers the costs incurred by the driver. Please note increased fuel contribution.
All coach walks start from Newbury Wharf
Remember to bring clean shoes to wear in the coach for the return journey
Members and walkers are reminded that they attend walks in this programme at their own risk and that they are responsible for their own personal safety.

The walk is into Avebury for coffee and then to Winterbourne Monkton for lunch at the New Inn. A steep climb back to the Ridgeway, but lovely views. 10 miles

There are some lovely views and one fairly short climb out of Eastbury. Hopefully afterwards we can support the community village shop which has outside tables by stopping for coffee and cake. 5.5 miles.

Meet/park at 9:30 am at the Fishermen’s Car Park, Hungerford Common, grid ref SU 351681, for car share to the Look Out Country Park, Bracknell – 70 mile round trip. All meet in the cafeteria for discussions prior to participating in the permanent orienteering course: This course can be followed either individually, or in small groups, or a single group. It will be necessary to purchase a map at £1 obtainable from the on site shop. Don’t forget to bring your compass !!! PLEASE REGISTER YOUR INTEREST BEFOREHAND. This is a fun day walking in pleasant surroundings, which will benefit all, regardless of your map and compass ability. The previous course was very successful and there are several other courses which could be visited at a later date.
