This group turns out on alternate Friday mornings, normally meeting up at a pub near where they will be working and returning there for a snack afterwards. They inspect all the paths in West Berkshire (the local authority area) on a parish-by-parish basis and do minor mantenance such as trimming vegetation and replacing waymarks. The inspections make use of the fault database held by West Berkshire Council and problems which cannot be resolved are reported back to the Council.
The map below shows the team's progress as at September 2016 - the RWP started in 2003 and is now working its way round the parishes for the third time (the parishes shown yellow are currently being surveyed and those in orange have yet to be visited; the parishes shown in white are covered by their own local groups or individuals).
